Whitney Saves Douglas Davis’s ‘First Collaborative Sentence’

I was the first actor in this piece.  Douglas David took me to the Whitney American Century part II party (I think because I was 20 something and he wanted to make certain painters of his era jealous, some old man younger woman thing, where he wanted them to think something was going on.)  He introduced me to video art, to John Strasbaugh at the legendary NYPress of the 90’s, even Carolee Schneemann. I was like, “huh?” and then later I realized who she was and was kicking myself.  She became such a huge influence on me.  It was around when Ken and I met.  Douglas was so proud and excited about this work.  We lost touch a long time ago, sadly.
